Are you a new vegetarian who doesn’t really know where to begin with cooking veggie dishes?
Or a long-time vegetarian who’s run out of inspiration?
Or a meat eater who’s just interested in enjoying more vegetarian meals?
You’ve come to the right place!
Amuse Your Bouche was started in 2011 as a place to document my vegetarian dinners. It’s since grown into a place to find all sorts of easy, straightforward vegetarian recipes – including quick weeknight dinners, family friendly crowd-pleasers, simple lunchbox ideas, and even a few Sunday afternoon labours of love.
Despite loving to cook, I’m a pretty lazy person in general (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve signed up to the gym and cancelled my membership after about a month), so I usually don’t like to spend too long in the kitchen. All of the recipes you’ll find here on Amuse Your Bouche are super simple – I don’t like using weird ingredients, I don’t like recipes with millions of different steps, and I don’t like using fifty different pans that will all need washing!
So if you’re interested in simple vegetarian recipes for whatever reason, there’s sure to be something here to inspire you.
I’m Becca, and I’ve been a vegetarian for about 20 years. I became veggie at the age of 9, because I knew I liked animals, and didn’t like the thought of eating them. I think at first I partly just wanted an excuse to be stubborn about something, but as I grew up I realised it was something I really believed in. When I went away to university, I taught myself to cook, and the rest is history!
I live in Hertfordshire, UK with my lovely husband (read about our wedding here!), beautiful baby daughter Eden, and scruffy pup Pip. I’m a maths geek, lover of ska punk and musical theatre in equal measures, and rom-com addict.
I always try to come up with recipes that I think my readers will like, but if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, please do let me know!
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or comments – I absolutely love hearing from you guys!
